The steam version however does not work properly at all patch or not The version from origin works perfectly currently without the patch I had the disk version i got from walmart and that one worked perfectly without the patch (Pause a moment.) regardless of that tho dude i can say the steam version is broken I have gotten a number of these games to run in Puppy Linux mode with WINE. This is an entirely different Operating System using something to get Windows programs running (Wine Is Not an Emulator). In Puppy Linux mode on the ASUS with WINE Bejeweled 3 runs perfectly well. You are running on a bare bones simple igpu so you are not even using the same kernels or drivers i am using to render or simulate things in games (bejeweled doesnt have much to render so it should run on anything) Its the version steam has thats got a problem in it and yes i am not sure what the problem is i do know its a software one not a hardware one I know its not a hyperthreading issue as it works just fine on the origin one with no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ well you have not looked in the right areas or at modern motherboards as any desktop motherboard worth its salt will have hyperthreading
My comment about hyperthreading is based on some research and the fact that even the ASUS does not have this feature- that seems to be a common factor. For example, I have both the standalone GOG and Steam versions of "Foxtail," "Chook and Sosik," and "Morphopolis" and they all run just fine. None of them have ever failed to run: the "Bejeweled" games, "Morphopolis," "Lanternium," "Foxtail," "Chook and Sosik Walk the Plank." online-dependent or not, they always run.
